Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a good time. Heather and I spent New Year’s Eve preparing for our movie marathon that we have hosted since we’ve been married. Each year we have a theme for movies and provide breakfast, movie, lunch/snack, movie, dinner, and finally another movie. The theme the first year was Lord of the Rings (we finished by watching the third movie in the theatre because it had just come out). The second year was musicals. The third year was missionaries, and this year was Science Fiction. The movies this year were Batteries Not Included, The Last Starfighter, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. A good time was had by all and we had a good turnout.

So, now that the Holidays are over it’s time to put the nose to the grindstone again. Heather and I start Dave Ramsey’s “Financial Peace University” in the next week or so and our Foster Parent training starts January 6. I have also picked up the pace on my teaching schedule at church and will be teaching just about every other week for the next few months. I’ll make my texts available on here and my Wigle Family site in case anyone wants to read them. If possible I’m going to start making the recordings available as well since I tend to deviate a bit from my script so it doesn’t sound too stale.

All in all the new year looks like it will be exciting and busy but I know I’m looking forward to it. We’ll see if I am able to keep up with recording events as they happen for friends and family to keep up with the latest since I’m aweful about e-mailing or phoning. I also hope to put together some pictures of the house as I finalize some of the cosmetics in some rooms. Should start making this house kinda pretty. It certainly started in very rough shape but is coming around. Well, I guess this will do for a second post. If you want to see more… leave comments! Apparently it motivates me to write more.
